Public Participation Plan

The 2011-2013 School Board member Redistricting Steering Committee will host public hearings held throughout the County for the public to comment on maps for School Board consideration.

All maps prepared for School Board consideration will be posted to the Map Alternatives Webpage.

Mapping Workshops

The School Board appointed Redistricting Steering Committee has requested a mapping workshop to be held in each of the three administrative areas. These workshops will provide instruction and assistance to those who wish to create a new School Board member district map for consideration. Each map submission will be reviewed based on the School Board’s Guiding Principles for drawing School Board member districts.

If you are unable to attend any of the three mapping workshops, and you would like assistance in creating a new map alternative, a two hour appointment can be made by calling Patrick Sipple, District Demographer, at 754-321-2480 before July 11, 2012.
