Schools will:

6.1. Design rigorous work, based on Sunshine State Standards, and teach in ways that engage students resulting in the acquisition of knowledge, critical thinking, and real world problem solving skills.

District will:

6.2 Design and develop, with input from schools, standards-based common assessments and provide training and support for implementation.

6.3 Systemically collect information pertaining to school, district, and state goals standards and present the data to schools in a useful manner as determined by the schools.

6.4 Insure that educators at every level are trained in data analysis and implementation of effective instruction based on collected data.

6.5 Establish clear and rigorous standards aligned with curricula and entrance requirements for post-secondary education and careers.

6.6 Build students' capacity to critique their own work and learning process.

6.7 Develop and utilize multiple assessments, including performance-based measures (eg. Portfolios, public exhibitions, capstone projects), that align with standards.
