Schools will:
3.1 Empower teachers to define their professional development
needs and work with staff to design appropriate activities to meet
them.
3.2 Create a critical mass of personnel in the school who are
engaged in reflective practice intended to improve teacher practice,
student learning, and whole school reform.
3.3 Build educators' capacity to use data and research to inform
instruction practice and to guide professional learning priorities
and needs.
3.4 Empower instructional staff with authority to define professional
development needs and to make decisions about curriculum, teaching
methods, and classroom environment.
3.5 Utilize communities of practice as a mechanism for transforming
the way educators are prepared, inducted, and retained. |
