After reading the article, "English Language Learners and the Five Essential Components of Reading Instruction” choose two of the essential components and create an instructional activity that will assess these components.  The activity should be developed for an ELL with a language classification of A1/Level 1(ACCESS) or A2/Level 2 (ACCESS). The activity should also promote academic language development.

• Post a message in the Week 6 discussion forum that answers the question, "How do the reading assessments used at your school impact instruction for ELLs in your class?"
