Airspace Control System: Airespace Control
System (ACS) Software is a central platform for
Wireless LAN (WLAN) planning, configuration and
management located at ETS in the Network Operations
Center. It provides a powerful foundation by which
ETS, Site Technical Staff and JDL can design,
control, and monitor enterprise wireless networks.
Appliance: The core component of the site
wireless enterprise appliance mounted in the
Communications Equipment Rack of each site. It
delivers the intelligence to each Access Point
necessary to enable high level wireless security, RF
management, intrusion detection, Quality of Service
(QoS) and mobility across an entire wireless
network.
Airspace Access Points: The Airespace
Access Points (APs) deliver optimal security,
performance and coverage for 802.11a/b/g wireless
networks. They work in conjunction with the
Airespace Appliances to provide robust
Wireless LAN (WLAN) services to enterprise
environments.
