• Read all content and links for Week 4. Review the assignment matrix for this week.

Use this week’s reading to answer the following in a Word document (minimum of 2 paragraphs:

Identify at least 2 of the assessment strategies listed in Section C of the ESOL Instructional Strategies Matrix which you will implement with your English Language Learners.  Explain how these strategies can inform your instructional decisions moving forward.  How is use of academic language addressed and/or integrated?

Discussion

• Post a message in the Week 4 discussion forum that answers the following question:  “How do you currently assess your ELLs with varying levels of language proficiency?"
• Post a follow-up message in response to an original posting made by one of your colleagues.

Final Project

If you haven’t already started your final project, you should begin to gather some of the information you will need to complete it.  Use the form that you downloaded in Week 1.  The final project will be submitted electronically in Week 8.
