Principal's Message


Intro- Art One-18 weeks
The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop fundamental art appreciation skills through production of two-dimensional works of art. Production activities may include drawing, painting and computer animation.

The content should include, but not be limited to, the following: use of tools and materials
- two-dimensional media, technology, and processes
- perception and observation
- imagery and visual language
- critical thinking and analysis
- historical and cultural perspectives
- connections between visual arts and other subject areas
- personal benefits
- career opportunities - visual elements and design principles


Advanced- Art Two- Full Year
The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop fundamental art appreciation skills through production of two-dimensional and three- dimensional works of art. Production activities may include drawing, painting, sculpture, computer animation, and printmaking.
The content should include, but not be limited to, the following: use of tools and materials
- two-dimensional media, three-dimensional media, technology, and processes
- perception and observation
- imagery and visual language
- critical thinking and analysis
- historical and cultural perspectives
- connections between visual arts and other subject areas
- personal benefits
- career opportunities - visual elements and design principles

You need to take Intro-Art one before entering Advanced-Art two
