Creativity is more than producing zany ideas; it’s a way of thinking. Blending creativity into a gifted curriculum is necessary in order to meet the cognitive, developmental, and affective needs of the gifted child. In her article Ways to Enhance Creativity: A Different Approach, Dr. Jane Piirto, director of Ashland University’s Talent and Development Education program, points out that creativity is more than just fun, games, and alternative solutions.
