What elements will be addressed?

Professional development and coaching provided to staff

Why is it occuring?

Professional development is not continuous. Faculty and staff are receiving new information at trainings and are only seeing that information once. The lack of continuous training lacks its implementation and use with fidelity. 

What are we going to do about it?

Increase the frequency of training and make resources readily available. November 6th will be the second training with teachers on the information rolled out during pre-planning week. 

Action Plan

Create a Sharepoint for RTI where teachers can readily access information. Additionally, updates, tips and reminders will be sent out quarterly to staff members. Continuous staff development trainings to reiterate expectations. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

During professional development, the following steps for monitoring and measuring success will be used:

  • Self-assessment; where staff will measure their own understanding of the new information given
  • Record review; measure the amount to times information has been accessed on Sharepoint
  • Monitor emails for questions and feedback

What elements will be addressed?

Tier 2 academic practices include common student needs, are linked to Tier 1

Why is it occuring?

Academic practices are occurring more at a Tier 1 and not going into the other tiers as frequently needed.

What are we going to do about it?

Increase knowledge of Tier 2 practices. This will include using smaller groups and provide more individual instruction.

Action Plan

Provide professional development in this area and increase availability of Tier II resources.
