What elements will be addressed?

Educators actively engage families in MTSS

Why is it occuring?

Parents are not always attending the RtI meetings. We feel that it is occuring because we need to improve and increase the communication with parents about the RtI meetings.

What are we going to do about it?

Our RtI meeting agendas will be developed at least two weeks before the actual RtI meeting. This will give parents the opportunity to plan to attend the meeting. The Guidance office generates a parent invite letter that goes home. The teacher then follows up with a phone call or note home with a reminder of the meeting. If parents can not attend in person we then encourage them to particpate by phone.

Action Plan

Ensure our RtI meeting agendas are completed and communicated to all at least two weeks before the meeting date. A parent invite letter is sent home followed up with a note or phone call home. Encourage parents to participate by phone if they can't attend in person.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Log the number of parents participating in the RtI meetings this year.
