What elements will be addressed?

The principal is actively involved

A leadership team is established

The leadership team actively engages in ongoing professional development

A strategic plan for MTSS implementation is developed

The leadership team is actively facilitating implementation

Why is it occuring?

We constantly have a change in staff (i.e. we don't have a math coach and our reading coach will be changing midyear, change in social worker). Therefore, we have to constantly reeducate the RtI team to how we do things at the middle school level.

What are we going to do about it?

We are going to have an introduction to RtI beginning of the year training for new personnel, the general staff and the RtI team. The RtI team training will include how our meetings run and the expectations of each members.

Action Plan

Create a basic job responisbilities chart for each member of the RtI team to be used yearly. Educate the members of the team on their responibilites. Readdress as needed.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

-Attendance to meetings
-Participation/Input during meetings

Staff understand and have access to data sources

Policies and procedures for decision-making are established

Effective data tools are used appropriately and independently by staff

Data sources are used to evaluate the fidelity and impact

Available resources are allocated effectively

Data sources are monitored for consistency and accuracy

Why is it occuring?

There is so much change in the RtI process that teachers and staff members don't always know how to access data sources.

What are we going to do about it?

Hold a staff training to educate the faculty on how to access data sources and how to record data points.

Action Plan

-Utilize district RtI resources
-Hold a faculty meeting
-Teach faculty on how to record and access data for RtI

How will we monitor and measure our success?

We will monitor and measure success by the completion of data recording need for RtI meetings.
