Unexcused Absences
School Social Worker, community liaison, and school counselors monitor absences and are communication with parents for assistance/concerns as expressed by student, family, teachers, etc.
a) Refer to outside services as needed
b) Moniter student academic, social, personal needs
c) Provide in-house services as needed (awareness of academic programs, personal awareness support)
d) Monitor y child study team / RtI referral established as needed

Excessive Excused Absences
(5 or more in a single month)

Tardiness
Tardiness is addressed in accordance to schoolwide expectations; monitoring and documentation is mandatory.
1st tardy - Warniing
2nd tardy - Warning notice - writing assignment
3rd tardy - Parent contact / detention
4th tardy - Referral
Team Leaders will initial each referral upon review

Excessive Early Sign Out
Parent contact made to address concern and monitored accordingly. Cases discussed with MTSS/Rti team accordingly. Home visits will be made if necessary.

Pattern of Non-Attendance

District procedures/expectations followed accordingly by school social worker/community liaison and other appropriate personnel. This may include, but is not limited to contact via phone, home visits, and or conferences. Cases discussed with MTSS/Rti team accordingly.
