Plan Type

Our Attendance plan from Data Warehouse currently has the average daily attendance rate for the 2015-2016 school year as 95%.  The goal for the 2016-2017 school year is to increase the daily average attendance rate to 96%  . 

 

 

2: Section #2: Purpose of Plan/Projection

Purpose of Plan:

The purpose of this attendance plan is to use the data obtained to decrease the number of students that have an attendance rate below 90% from 114 to100 for the 2016-2017 school year.

Unexcused Absences

Attendance information will be shared at Open House and through the Student Code of Conduct book.Newsletters will go  home monthly and attendance policy will be posted on the school's website.  Attendance information will be shared during parent/teacher conferences.  Quarterly report cards will include school letterhead from the principal indicating number of absences and tardies for the quarter.  BTIP reports will be run as needed.  Parents will be contacted to rectify, if unsuccessful, report to social worker.

 

Excessive Excused Absences
(5 or more in a single month)

Attendance information will be shared at Open House and through the Student Code of Conduct book. Newsletters will go  home monthly and attendance policy will be posted on the school's website.  Attendance information will be shared during parent/teacher conferences. Classroom quarterly rewards for improved attendance will be given.  Quarterly report cards will include school letterhead from the principal indicating number of absences and tardies for the quarter.   Parents will be contacted to rectify, if unsuccessful, report to social worker.

 

Tardiness

Attendance information will be shared at Open House and through the Studnet Code of Conduct book. Newsletters will go  home monthly and attendance policy will be posted on the school's website.  Attendance information will be shared during parent/teacher conferences.  Classroom quarterly rewards for improved tardiness will be given. Quarterly report cards will include school letterhead from the principal indicating number of absences and tardies for the quarter.  BTIP reports will be run as needed and sign  in/ sign out will be monitored weekly.Parents will be contacted to rectify, if unsuccessful, report to social worker. 

 

Excessive Early Sign Out

Attendance information will be shared at Open House and through the Student Code of Conduct book Newsletters will go  home monthly and attendance policy along with early sign-out procedures.  Early sign outs will not be granted after 1:30 P.M. All attendance information will also be posted on the school's website.  Attendance information will be shared during parent/teacher conferences. Classroom quarterly rewards for improved tardiness will be given. Quarterly report cards will include school letterhead from the principal indicating number of absences and tardies for the quarter.  BTIP reports will be run as needed and sign in/ sign out sheets will be monitored weekly.
