What elements will be addressed?

Professional development and coaching provided to staff
Why is it occuring?

  • The culture of the school is not used to addressing students with multi-tiered systems of support.
  • BASIS training for documentation
  • Training on how to implement for school-wide Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions
  • IRMS has more students who require MTSS and tend to be with the same teachers; therefore, it creates a large caseload of documention and implementation for those teachers.
What are we going to do about it?

  • Teacher training on MTSS
  • Training and coaching on data collection
  • Intervention Strategy Toolkit for Teachers 
Action Plan

District personnel will train staff over multiple PLC's during the 1st quarter..  MTSS memebers will continue to support teachers use of BASIS throughout the school year. 
How will we monitor and measure our success?

This plan will be mointored through MTSS meeting and mid-year survey.
