What elements will be addressed?

Data are used to identify reasons why students are not meeting expectations

Why is it occuring?

At Broward Estates Elementary School we are an aspiring "A," as a result, all instructional staff needs to make strategic decisions to increase student achievement results across all areas (ELA, Math and Science).  Therefore, identification of why our students are not meeting student achievement outcomes is vital in order to provide interventions, remediation and enrichment on an individual basis for out students.

What are we going to do about it?

Currently, at Broward Estates Elementary School teacher performance data was discussed during planning week in order to reflect, set goals and create a plan of action for each individual student per grade level.  Baseline assessments have been adminstered and the data disaggregated to identify student areas of growth and concerns.  Students have been identified and placed in ability groups (which are fluid) including departmentalization of third grade and fourth grade.  Moreover, data huddles have taken place between the teachers and scholars.  In addition, to academic goals, behavioral goals have also been setwith students who have been identified through data collection (DMS, Discipline Matrix System and teacher anecdotals), as a result, behavior plans have been put in place.  Overall, the above mentioned is taking place in order to close the achievement gap strategically in academics and behavior in order to reduce or remove barries to student success.

Action Plan

The action plan for Broward Estates is on-going.  Data will be used in an ongoing basis in order to problem-solve.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Success will be monitored through assessment result data, CWT actionable feedback and continued collaborative conversations with faculty and staff pertaining to academics and behavior.
