Free for Parents! The focus of this training is the parental
rights, or Procedural Safeguards. These rights are
guaranteed to all parents of students with disabilities,
and are required to be understood, explained, and
implemented at the school level. Within the presentation,
the audience will be given an overview ofThe Procedural
Safeguards, school responsibilities for provision
of these rights, and examples how the process works
for specific dispute resolution requests filed by
parents. Real-­]life scenarios will be explored for parents
to better understand expected possible outcomes
when filing a complaint.

ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR
2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR!

In order for your child to attend Westchester Elementary you must live within our boundaries.

The following documents are required for registration:

ORIGINAL PROOF OF AGE

(Child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2014)

CURRENT IMMUNIZATION ON HRS FORM

PHYSICAL EXAM DATED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF THE DATE THE CHILD ENTERS SCHOOL.

TWO (2) PROOFS OF RESIDENCY

PARENT/GUARDIAN PHOTO I.D.

 

SchoolPaymentSolutions.com is an online payment portal especially designed to allow parents to make quick and easy online payments to their children's school accounts. The system allows parents to manage their children's lunch accounts, and manage other school accounts (such as lab fees or book fees), quickly and easily.

 

 

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL
Some parents have been dropping students off on campus too early. Students should
not be dropped off before 7:30 a.m., there is no adult supervision on campus before 7:30 a.m. Dismissal time is 2:00 p.m. Please be sure to arrive for pick up on time. We are having many students picked up late in the afternoons. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

 

 

The Florida Department of Education has developed an online tool to help parents and families throughout the state learn about changes to our standards and accessments. This new resource, Success Measures will provide parents and students with information on what is being taught and tested in our classrooms.
