West Broward is participating in the 2014 Testing Pilot.
End of Course (EOC) exams will be scheduled on the following four testing days when students will be dismissed early at 11:15am with buses departing at 11:30am. Before leaving students may pick up a box lunch from the cafeteria.

April 21: US History
April 28: Biology
May 5: Algebra I
May 12: Geometry

On any of the four days that a student is not scheduled to take an EOC exam, he or she will attend an EOC or AP Review session or a College & Career Readiness Session.

Please join Ms. Solovay and West Broward HS on Thursday April 24th at 6:30 PM in the auditorium for a "Getting Ready for College" presentation. The following topics will be discussed: college applications, types of schools, what these schools are looking for, financial aid, costs, scholarships, essays, deadlines, and what juniors should be doing over the summer and during  their senior year.

Senior Family Military Status Survey

Seniors save the date!!!

Seniors this is a reminder that volunteer hours are a requirement for graduation. A minimum of 40 hours are required to earn your diploma. The deadline for handing in volunteer hours is May 1st. Those of you seeking a silver cord at graduation need 250 hours. The deadline for the 250 hours is April 11.

To qualify, students must have a current unweighted gpa of 3.0, have 11 credits (by the end of the school year) & have a qualifying score on the SAT, ACT or PERT. Students must see their counselor by April 23rd, 2014 to complete the process for registration.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is an annual event, for children between the ages of 8 and 18, sponsored by the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation. With parental approval, students can participate by visiting a particular workplace of a parent, guardian, adult relative, or adult family friend.

Broward County Public schools will observe the National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on Thurs., 4/17.
