I suggest that you keep this sheet in an important file as it gives directions and password formulas for many of the programs your child uses at school. I highly recommend that your child use a variety of these resources .

The Broward Enterprise Education Portal (BEEP) is a secure, single point of access to many digital resources. These “Digital Doorways” allow Students, and Parents, access to FCAT Explorer, Atomic Learning, online textbooks, Research and Homework help, Fun On the Net, and Virtual Counselor (where students and parents can check attendance, test scores, etc.)

http://www.fcatexplorer.comA free resource from the state of Florida designed to help students learn and practice reading, math, and science skills measured by the FCAT for students working at 3rd – 12th grade level.

The FCAT Explorer web site has a link for The Parent and Family Guide.  This guide is designed to support parents, guardians, and mentors in their efforts to help students strengthen the critical skills that are outlined in the Sunshine State Standards and tested on the FCAT.

 

 

SIGN-IN NAME  = Last Name+ First Initial

(For example: John Brown would enter BrownJ)

 

PASSWORD = 06+first 4 letters of 

last name
                        + 2 digit birthday month

                        + 2 digit birthday day

 

For example: if John Brown had been born on April 3, 1997, his password would be 06Brow0403.  (The date must be written with four digits.)

Technology tutorials available for Broward County School District.  This site helps you to use software (both for PC’s and Apples) commonly found in the schools.  It is very easy to use with topics broken into short video segments.
