There are currently no established technology standards or "STND" Purchasing Numbers assigned to e-Readers and Tablet computers.
Schools or Departments that would like to purchase an e-Readers or Tablet computers are required to follow the waiver request process.
The District's Standards Committee has studied the role these devices might play in the SBBC enterprise and recommended that due to support issues, low demand, and concerns about durability of the devices they have not been assigned a "Technology Standard" designation at this time.
