Short Term Objectives With Measurability
|
You can select to write STOs with measurability when it is appropriate to the goal. |
Let's look at a goal previously introduced that contains measurability and write some short-term objectves:
Given a conversation topic, Sally will speak in a complete sentence 8 out of 10 times during a structured activity, by June 2008.
|
Example: Given a conversation topic, Sally will speak in a complete sentence 3 out of 10 times. Given a conversation topic, Sally will speak in a complete sentence 6 out of 10 times. Given a conversation topic, Sally will speak in a complete sentence 8 out of 10 times. |
You may select this option for most of the goals you will write. STOs without measurability are just about your steps and/or plan to help your student accomplish their annual goal skill. In this case, your STOs do not have to be in any particular order or match the last STO to the annual goal, as you would have to if you used measurability. This is the easier option of the two and it can work for most of the goals you write. |
