Common Core Support
The implementation of Common Core is of utmost priority for the District,
the Office of Strategic Achievement has realigned staff in collaboration with Talent Development
and Instruction and Intervention to provide support district-wide to schools.

Differentiated Accountability
Various resources and documents that will provide you with more
information about the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and the various
deadlines associated with the waiver application.
Student Success Opportunity Schools (SSOS)
Florida's Department of Education has identified schools assigned school letter grade of Triple D or F as a "Turnaround School".
Beginning the 2013-2014 school year, SSOS schools are proposed to implement new programs and best practices in teaching literacy
that promotes maximum student achievement. The Office of Strategic Achievement in collaboration with the division of Portfolio
Management and the public community will facilitate the restructuring of 2 elementary schools and 2 middle schools for
the 2013-2014 academic year.

School Improvement
School Improvement is a part of the Office of Strategic Achievement for Broward County
Public Schools. The role of the School Improvement staff is to facilitate the development of the
School Improvement Plan (SIP), School Advisory Council (SAC) and school waivers for all
Broward County Public Schools.
School Improvement Grant
The Office of Strategic Achievement is dedicated to ensuring a strategic,
collaborative decision-making process that supports the District's lowest
performing schools in order to improve student achievement, educator quality,
and administrative leadership.
