| As we progress through the 2009- 10 school, take note and draw strength from, the many incredible success stories eminating from the South Area schools. These successes are a result of the collaborative relationship between all South Area stakeholders: area leadership; school administration; teachers; office staff; parents; and students. The benefactors of this collaboration are walking the hallways of South Area schools and serve as our legacy to society. The future sits in our classrooms and participates in the wonderful extracurricular activities taking place in our schools. Students develop the foundation of their future successes each and everyday. As schools review data and make instructional decisions, they are in a very real way, serving to identify, educate and deliver talent for the future demands of our nation. The challenge of engaging, inspiring and developing bright minds is a difficult one compounded by the economic downturn we are facing. However, I am convinced that we will prevail as we engage a new class of scientist, teachers, doctors and nurses. Our success will not come by accident, but by design. |
