Piper Chorus

The Piper High School Choral Department offers a variety of performing ensembles to meet the needs of all students interested in singing.  The Piper Chorus is committed to the study of music, vocal techniques and ensemble skills.  Our goal is to achieve the highest degree of learning in vocal performance.  With the achievement of this goal, students develop a love, understanding and appreciation of music from multiple genres and styles.  Through chorus, students have the opportunity to work toward group goals that prepare them for the workplace.  It is also an outlet for self-expression, uniqueness and communication of thoughts and ideas.  This, in turn, builds self-confidence needed to face life’s challenges.  Music allows students to grow into the liberation of self-discipline and is just overall, fun!

The Piper Chorus performs under the direction of Mrs. Traci Dixon Fuller.  Mrs. Fuller has been teaching in the Broward County Public School System since 1999.  Her passion for vocal music can be summarized with a simple quote that she overheard while watching Sesame Street with her daughter: “Everyone can sing, so SING EVERYONE!” – Elmo.

Mrs. Tracy Dixon Fuller has been teaching in the Broward County Public Schools since 1999. Mrs. Fuller completed her undergraduate studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University where she received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance.  She later attended the University of South Florida and completed her Masters Degree in Music Education.  In 2007 she received her National Board Certification for Professional Teachers Standards in Vocal Music.  Under her direction, students have excelled musically and have received Superior and Excellent ratings at various choral music performance assessments.  She believes that every child is capable of achieving success vocally in a choral setting.  She strongly encourages each student to give their best musically and personally in the classroom.  Mrs. Fuller also reminds them that “talent is nothing but character is everything”.  With this approach, she strives to develop intelligent young musicians who take pride and ownership in the music they make on stage and off.

Mrs. Fuller is married, has two beautiful daughters and resides in Broward County.
