    A Message from Our Principal

Good things are happening at Palm Cove Elementary. Although the school year is only half over, we already have some great things in the planning stages for the 2012-2013 school year.
I would like to personally invite you go online to Virtual Counselor and complete the annual Parent Survey so that we may use your important input as we begin our plans for the new school year. We need to hear, firsthand about your thoughts and ideas regarding our processes, as well as about our significant efforts in teaching and learning.
Our school will also provide technology to get your input when you visit our school for any reason. If you come for a parent teacher conference or a school meeting, computers will be available for you to go on-line and complete the survey at your leisure. Our students are worth the effort to get your ideas on our progress. Please share your thoughts and let us learn to grow together to meet all students’ needs.
We are celebrating our volunteers this month with a special Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on February 24th at 8:00 am in Room 703. If you have volunteered at our school, we cordially invite you to attend. Please contact Coach Schweiter at 754-323-6800 to reserve your seat.

BROWARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS EIGHTEENTH ANNUAL CUSTOMER SURVEY
The Broward County Public School’s Eighteenth Annual Customer Survey of our District's students, instructional staff/teachers, and parents will be underway throughout all elementary, middle, and high schools. This year's surveys will be administered online to all students in grades 3 through 12, to all full-time instructional staff/teachers, and to all parents/guardians. Surveys will be administered online beginning February 6, 2012 through April 6, 2012. All surveys will be available online through Virtual Counselor (https://www.browardschools.com/virtualcounselor) for all students, instructional staff/teachers, and parents who wish to participate. It is important for students, instructional staff/teachers, and parents/guardians to participate to ensure that valid conclusions can be drawn from the results. We appreciate the advice students, instructional staff/teachers, and parents/guardians give us each year and encourage everyone to take a few minutes to participate. Following administration, student, teacher, and parent data will be analyzed and summarized in individual school reports. Results for individual school reports will be released by June 8, 2012. A customer survey brief highlighting areas of concern, providing results for the District and for elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and centers will be released July 6, 2012.
