COMPREHENSIVE NEEDS ASSESSMENT of the entire school (including the needs of migrant children) with information about the academic achievement of children in relation to the state academic content standards.
Describe the process utilized to conduct the comprehensive needs assessment for this school.

The process utilized to conduct the comprehensive needs assessment for this school includes the careful analysis of student performance on academic measures. Our analysis includes multiple years of Florida Standards Assessment data to show the trends in subgroups. We also include non-academic data such as attendance, discipline, and retention. Data is extracted from multiple sources, which include the SPAR report, FSA results for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.  FLKRS( FAIR-Work Sampling System) data is also used to determine school readiness for kindergarten students. Formativeassessments are given on on a weekly basis and summative are given at the end of standard cycle to demonstrate student mastery. Data is desagregated by support staff and discussed with teachers and students.
Parents are also a vital part of the process. A parent survey is sent home each spring to gather input concerning curriculum, environment, and communication. Results from this survey are used to help write goals and objectives for the school.
Parents are invited to meet with administration to discuss student achievement results and strategies for improving scores. School-wide results are discussed with parents and community members during our monthly School Advisory Council meetings. Suggestions are discussed with staff and considered for inclusion in school wide plans.
