What elements will be addressed?

Educators actively engage families in MTSS

Why is it occuring?

In the past the staff has not consistently notified parents of the MTSS process, invited parents to the RTI meetings and provided them with updates of their child's progress.

What are we going to do about it?

We are going to establish a folder with the RTI resources and materials to share with all teachers.

Action Plan

Identify materials and resources that need to be distributed to the teachers for all of the tiers in the MTSS process. Collect the materials and place in a labeled folder for each teachers. The folders will be distributed to the teachers.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

We will monitor by documenting the number of parents that initiate the MTSS process and attend the Tier 2 initial meeting.

What elements will be addressed?

Effective data tools are used appropriately and independently by staff

Why is it occuring?

In the past, staff have not been consistently used data tools appropriately and consistently  or with consistent fidelity due to lack or training and accountibility.

What are we going to do about it?

We are going to establish cross disciplinary teams that will assist teachers with implementing data tools effectively and with fidelity.

Action Plan

1. Establish staff members who will serve as members of the cross disciplinary.
2. Set expectations for implemention  of data tools to ensure they are being implemented effectively and with fidelity (meeting with teachers, data collection, scheduling meetings, providing teacher support).
3. Monitor through BASIS, data chats, observation, and individual teacher meetings to determine effectiveness.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

1. All cases are up to date in BASIS.
2. Data collection is ongoing.
3. Data collection is monitored for effectiveness and that it is being implemented with fidelity.
4. Provide  teachers with needs assessment.
