Educators actively engage families in MTSS

Why is it occuring?

The leadership team as well as classroom teachers are somewhat engaging in efforts to include the family members in the RTI process. 

What are we going to do about it?

The leadership team will consistently engage in efforts to include families in the RTI decision making process. The leadership team will follow up with classroom teachers about effectively communicating the RTI process to families. The team will invite families in that need clarification or would like to discuss their child's progress.

What elements will be addressed?

Data are used to address performance across diverse group

Why is it occuring?

The leadership team as well as classroom teachers are not consistently engaging in meaningiful conversations about the discrepencies in data across diverse groups of student. The RTI team compares students to classmates, but not specifically across subgroups with diverse needs for example students with disabilites, race, etc. 

What are we going to do about it?

The leadership team will engage in efforts to faciliatate MTSS implementation and analyze performance across different subgroups. The teachers will collect measurable data on their students and then come together with the team to take a look at the data across subgroups to identify students and how their needs are being met.
