What elements will be addressed?

A leadership team is established

Why is it occuring?

The leadership team has been established. However, each member of the team has obligations and duties that often make it difficult for them to be available the scheduled RtI meeting.

What are we going to do about it?

RtI meeting dates will be predetermined and all members of the team will plan ahead to ensure that they are available and actively participating during the RtI meeting.

Action Plan

The RtI dates will be determined for the year. Mrs. Grant will send out a monthly reminder to assist the team with planning their schedule.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

The team will take attendance to document participation.

What elements will be addressed?

Across tiers, data used to identify "gap" between expected and current outcomes

Why is it occuring?

Data is not being effectively used to identify the "gap" between expected and current outcomes because data on the student is not being systematically collected. Teachers do not always have/know of the resources available to them to identify the gap between the expected and current outcomes.

What are we going to do about it?

The educators at CIE need to become more comfortable with the data tracking resources that are available to them. The educators at CIE will be trained on how to collect and interpret data on their students.

Action Plan

The following trainings will occur to assist the educators with collecting and analyzing data.

- The educators at CIE will receive a training from the iReady contact on how to utilize iReady as a data tracking and intervention tool.
- The teachers will receive a document made by the RtI team which outlines the available resources for intervention and data collection.
- The teachers will be encouraged to correlate their intervention and their weekly assessment to ensure that the data we are collecting aligns the intervention the child is receiving.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

At the initial RtI meeting, the team will use BASIS to document the specific behavioral and/or academic goals of the student. The team will work collaboratively to determine which intervention and data collection tool will be used to track the data. When the team reconvenes to discuss the progress the student has made, the team will use the initial hypothesis to determine if the academic/behavioral gap is being closed.
