What elements will be addressed?

Resources to support MTSS implementation are identified and allocated

Why is it occuring?

Due to lack of of professional development opportunites, teachers at our school have not been consistently inputting data into BASIS for RTI.

What are we going to do about it?

Professional development opportunites will be offered to all staff members throughout the school year.

Action Plan

  • The CPS Team will seek out district personnel to conduct on-site trainings for BASIS/RTI.
  • The CPS Team will also conduct in-school training as needed and will serve as mentors to teachers needing assistance.
  • Teachers will be encouraged to take advantage of district trainings off campus and or/use of webinars.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

  • Domain increase on Self-Assessment of Multi-Tiered System of Support (SAM) 
  • Collected evidence to support implementation 
  • MTSS/RtI Look- fors

What elements will be addressed?

Educators actively engage families in MTSS

Why is it occuring?

Due to parental language barriers and the lack of understanding of rigorous standards-based instruction, families are not actively engaged in the MTSS/RtI process and implementation for all students. 

What are we going to do about it?

The CPS Team will initiate parental/family engagement in MTSS through meeting notices in native languages as much as possible. The CPS Team will also make effort necessary to secure a translator during MTSS/RtI meetings. The CPS Team will organize family night activities to include multi-lingual presentations of standards and instructional expectations.
