What elements will be addressed?

Coaching is used to support MTSS implementation

Why is it occuring?


Due to changes in the RTI process staff PD is needed.

What are we going to do about it?

  • PD will be integrated into data chats and grade level meetings
  • Individual Coaching sessions
  • Leadership team meetings  to discuss progress towards goals and to assure students are on correct path
  • MTSS team will reach out to district assigned instructional facilator for support

Action Plan

​Step 1: Schedule MTSS support meetings
Step 2: RTI Members will be available for daily support
Step 3: Data chats will be conducted every 6 to 9 weeks to assist teachers intrepeting student data and MTSS.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Coaches and MTSS team members will monitor student progress through individual data chats, report cards, and increase in BAS levels.

What elements will be addressed?

Staff understand and have access to data sources

Why is it occuring?

School staff is unsure of how to use student data to make educational decisions.
Staff has not learned the purposes of assessment within MTSS across academic, behavior and social-emotional areas that are reliable, valid and accessible, as well as culturally, linguistically and developmentally appropriate. 

What are we going to do about it?

The RTI team will collaboratively evaluate and refine (as needed), adjust assessment practices to ensure availability of accurate and useful data to inform instruction, and assessment tools will be evaluated for continued usefulness, and cultural, linguistic, and developmental appropriateness.

Action Plan

  • Create a MTSS-RTI Leadership Calendar
  • RTI team will engage in the monitoring of student progress through  BAS, Standard Mastery and I-Ready dignostic
  • Identify students who are at risk 3 to 4 times a year.
  • Determine student attainment of academic, behavior and social-emotional outcomes.
  • Create a MTSS-RTI  Calendar
  • RTI team members will meet with teachers every 6 to 9 weeks

How will we monitor and measure our success?

We will monitor through  records review (BASIS 3.0), Classroom observation and RTI look fors.
