Staff have consensus and engage in MTSS Implementation

Why is it occuring?

The staff has not been provided training opportunities to gain an understanding of the needs of MTSS/RTI.

What are we going to do about it?

District MTSS/RtI Facilitator will be asked to assist in training the staff on MTSS and components of RtI and Basis. 

Action Plan

County RtI / Basis Training for Mandel & Nista.
Use Basis.
Collect data using a problem-solving checklist for academic and behavior concerns. 
Train staff on parent letters.
Continue to have bi-weekly RTI committee meetings.
PLC on Fridays will be used to discuss student data and progress monitoring.
Teachers will keep anecdotal records. 



 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

RMS will have weekly meetings with the MTSS/RtI team to discuss student data and progress monitoring. 

RMS will increase the presence of teachers in regularly scheduled meetings. 

In addition, RMS will increase opportunities to provide training for parents and staff about the MTSS/RtI process and procedure.

What elements will be addressed?

Data are used to identify reasons why students are not meeting expectations

Why is it occuring?

Data-based problem solving is not occurring with fidelity due to a lack of training. 

What are we going to do about it?

Ramblewood Middle School will survey the staff to gauge what is challenging. 

Teachers will receive training on the 4 step problem-solving process and ICEL by RIOT.

Action Plan

Based on the survey results, the PD liaison will create professional development on how to properly chart data. Teachers will continue to chart data on graphs and have data-driven conversations. The MTSS/RtI team will continue to collaborate with district staff monthly.

RMS will provide teacher training on the four-step problem-solving process and use ICEL/RIOT program to identify students' deficiencies. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Teachers will utilize data to modify instruction and teaching strategies.
