The leadership team is actively facilitating implementation

Why is it occuring?

Teachers are not as involved in the discussion of RTI interventions as they could be. 

What are we going to do about it?

Create the time and space for teachers to be more present at MTSS/RTI meetings.

Action Plan

Send out RTI agendas to the CPS team a few days in advance.

Acquire coverage for a teacher that has pertinent information regarding the student's struggles and strengths.

Develop action items that are documented to assist in implementation of interventions. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Bi-weekly check ins from grade level counselors to teachers to ensure fidelity.

Building the Capacity/Infrastructure for Implementation

What elements will be addressed?

Coaching is used to support MTSS implementation

Why is it occuring?

Teachers feel a disconnect between providing/documenting interventions and where that ultimately leads. 

What are we going to do about it?

Inform and walk through with teachers how to document Tier 1 interventions into BASIS. Grade level counselors will continually follow up/illustrate with staff how to input the data for RTI. 

Teachers will also be informed on what is happening next because of MTSS/RTI meetings with students they have.

Action Plan

Beginning of the year PD on MTSS/RTI process and how to document Tier 1 interventions in BASIS.

Grade level counselors follow up and illustrate to teachers how to enter Tier 1 interventions for RTI referrals. 

Follow up emails sent to teachers involved with a student on the progress of a MTSS/RTI meeting. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

The amount of Tier 1 interventions being documented. Data collection for Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions will be analyzed to see if they are being appliled with fidelity.
