What elements will be addressed?

Professional development and coaching provided to staff

Why is it occuring?

The leadership team recognizes staff have not been given proper professional development and coaching. The team has not facilitated professional development on data-based problem-solving nor on multi-tiered instruction and intervention. Staff schedules do not allow for adequate time for training and coaching.

What are we going to do about it?

The leadership team will afford opportunities to staff for proper professional development and coaching. The focus of the team's facilitation will be on data-based problem-solving, multi-tiered instruction and intervention. Schedules will be constructed to allow for adequate time of training and coaching.

Action Plan

Schedule professional development on BASIS input and on coaching of tiered interventions.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Increase the use of RTI referral submission and decrease yellow, red and blue flagged students in BASIS.

What elements will be addressed?

Staff understand and have access to data sources

Why is it occuring?

The leadership team believs staff do not have a strong understanding nor access to data sources and, therefore, are not being used to evaluate fidelity and impact. Data sources and tools are not monitored for consistency and accuracy nor being used appropriately and independently by staff. Decision-making policies and procedures have not been established.

What are we going to do about it?

The leadership team will train staff through professional development to ensure a strong understanding and access to data sources. Data sources will be used to evaluate fidelity and iimpact and be monitored for consistency and accuracy by the leadership team. Effective data tools will be used appropriately and independently by staff to drive classroom instruction and decision-making policies and procedures will be established.

Action Plan

Provide professional development to staff during instructional planning time and provide ongoing lists of data-driven resources for tiered classroom interventions.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Staff feedback and a decrease in color coded cohort information.
