What elements will be addressed?

Resources to support MTSS implementation are identified and allocated

Why is it occuring?

Although training was provided last year, there was not enough time spent on providing stakeholders with adequte resources for appropiate implementation.  Time was also a factor in terms of allocating additional training. 

What are we going to do about it?

For the 2018-2019 school year, more time will be given for training.  We will provide training twice a year and whenever we request Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions, we will provide strategies, documentation tools, and coaching.

Action Plan

An October training was completed on October 9, 2018. Another training will be offered in the Spring.  The RTI team have downloaded strategies and documents to assist our teachers with Tier 2 and Tier 3 implementation.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

We will conduct an End-Training-Survey and use the results to complete the Self Assessment  (SAM).

What elements will be addressed?

Tier 2 academic practices include common student needs, are linked to Tier 1

Why is it occuring?

Teachers are not comfortable with applying Tier 2 academic interventions.  Despite training, many are still not implementing Tier 2 interventions.  

What are we going to do about it?

With our Block Buddy trainings in the Fall and Spring, we will emphasis Tier 2 academic interventions and strategies.  

Action Plan

Tier 2 Strategies will be re-taught and practice during the trainings.  Mrs. Jackson, Literacy Coach, will model the use of these strategies.  

How will we monitor and measure our success?

We will conduct a survey to measure the success of the implementation.
