Why is it occuring?

Teachers and staff are not well informed about strategies used for collecting data which will identify student deficiencies.  

What are we going to do about it?

With district support we will host professional development sessions aimed at increasing teacher knowledge of behavioral and academic data collection techniques.

Action Plan

  • Identify dates for professional development opportunities
  • Contact district support for availability and resources
  • Provide training behavioral and academic data collection including basis.
  • Follow up and provide feedback to teachers in a timely matter.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Through the use of informal surveys and increasing basis documentation.

What elements will be addressed?

Tier 3 academic practices are based on students' needs, aligned with Tier 1 and Tier 2

Why is it occuring?

After review of our SAM scores for the previous year, it was determinded that Tier 1 & 2 where not aligned with Tier 3.  This is occuring because of lack of knowledge about how and when to implement tier 3 strategies.

What are we going to do about it?

With district support we will host professional development sessions aimed at increasing teacher knowledge of how and when to implement tier 3 strategies.

  • Identify dates for professional development opportunities
  • Contact district support for availability and resources
  • Provide training on the three tiered model, as well as implementing tier three strategies.
  • Follow up and provide feedback to teachers in a timely matter.

We will monitor our success through the use of informal surveys and increasing basis documentation.
