Why is it occuring?

The Leadership Team is not cosistently attending scheduled RtI/MTSS meetings. 

What are we going to do about it?

  • The Leadership Team is working to build consistency and integrity with fidelity. 
  • An Agenda will be sent in advance to the Leadership Team and Administration. 
  • The Leadership Team will consistently engage in the MTSS process and data-based problem solving aligned with the School Improvement Plan. 

Action Plan

  • Leadership Team and Administration will engage in learning elements of the MTSS process.
  • Adminisration will align with critical elements in the MTSS. 
  • Administration will actively support the CPST and staff to build capacity for implementation. 
  • The Leadership Team will support as well as provide PD's about the MTSS 4 step process at the school. 
  • The Leadership Team will communicate an urgent desire to implement MTSS and establish a vision at the school. 
  • The Leadership Team will create frequent opportunities to celebrate success

How will we monitor and measure our success?

  • The Leadership Team will monitor success by the Self-Assessment of Multi-Tiered Support. 
  • The Leadership Team will conduct quarterly data chats throughout the year to ensure that instructions/interventions are implemented with fidelity. 
  • Classroom observations
  • BASIS review on a continuum. 
  • Critical Components Checklist and/or observation conducted by District MTSS/RtI Instructional Facilitator.

Three Tiered Instructional /Intervention Model

What elements will be addressed?

Tier 3 academic practices are based on students' needs, aligned with Tier 1 and Tier 2

Why is it occuring?

  • The appropriate intervention is not aligned with the students' deficiency.

What are we going to do about it?

  • Professional Development will be provided and monitored in the areas of students needs.
  • Ensure that Tier III is aligned with Tier I and Tier II instruction. 
  • Provide coaching support in the areas of collecting and analyzing data that supports the School Improvement Plan. 
  • Provide Teachers with the interventions that matches the students' need at the conclusion of a CPST meeting. 

Action Plan

  • Create a school-wide Core Inventory of available and appropriate resources that aligns to the targeted skill.
  • Provide PD's during grade level PLC's on data collection, and intervention strategies on a bi-weekly basis. 
  • Provide each grade level with a Case Manager to ensure the success of Tiered implementation. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

  • We will monitor the success by conducting monthly data chats with the classroom teacher and their case manager. 
  • The District MTSS Instructional Facilitator will assess the progress through the Critical Component Checklist. 
  • The CPST will frequently review the BASIS dashboard to assess the implementation of Tier III aligned to Tier I and Tier II instruction.
