What elements will be addressed?

Tier 2 academic practices include common student needs, are linked to Tier 1

Why is it occuring?

To ensure effective use of data annd information to make effective decisions to create environments in which educators field supported in problem solving .  Additionally, we want to ensure appropriate fit of curriculum, instruction, and environment t enable student learning.

What are we going to do about it?

We will implement a plan to ensure that academic supports are 100% successful for all students in the general education population.  The SBLT and CPST will utilize BASIS to engage in data based problem solving and to record all supports, strategies, and plans.  Appropriate plans will be developed for students and progress monitoring will occur for students who are identified as at risk.  Parents and/or guardians will be provided with resources to support student needs.

Action Plan

Our action plan will include the following:
1.  Evaluate effectiveness of current plan.
2.  Inventory current curriculum, instruction, intervention, and progress monitoring resources.
3.  Identify barriers and create a plan of action to intervene and support learning.
4.  Continuously use school data to evaluate effectiveness of plan.
5.  If necessary adjust/modify plan, monitor, and identify patterns and trends.
We will engage and inform parents, and all other stakeholders, according to compliance agreements.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

We will monitor our success using an implementation timeline.  This will allow us to employ best practices in a timely manner and monitor our plan with fidelity.  Data from BASIS will be analyzed by the CPST and SBLT to identify the successful impact of strategies on the needs of students.
