What elements will be addressed?

Coaching is used to support MTSS implementation

Why is it occuring?

Not enough coaching is implemented to provide performance feedback of components of MTSS.

What are we going to do about it?

Provide more support and coaching.

Action Plan

The support staff including coaches meet weekly to focus on ways to coach and provide feedback to teachers.  This is a math coach is being utilized for supports to tiers of MTSS in math.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Coaches will keep logs to document support  and the specific feedback given.

What elements will be addressed?

Tier 3 behavior practices are based on students' needs, aligned with Tier 1 and Tier 2

Why is it occuring?

Tier 3 behavior practices are not aligned with social emotional learning.

What are we going to do about it?

Teachers and support staff will link social emotional learning to Tier 3 behavior practices.

Action Plan

Teachers will implement strategies learned in social emotional learning trainings they recevied in the 2017-18 school year as part of the teacher incentive fund (TIF V).  PLCs that focus on a school-wide behavior management system (CHAMPS) will meet to share practices that align to students' behavior needs.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

The collaborative problem solving team (CPST) will analyze the data from Tier 3 behavior practices and look for effective trends aligned to Social-Emotional Learning, or SEL that trend towards reducing the number of behavior referrals.
