Professional development and coaching provided to staff

Why is it occuring?

*No time allotted for coaching, training, and breakdown of best practices. 
*Lack of trainings 
*Teachers not trained in district and school-based RtI Resources
*New teachers to the teaching field that are not familiar with the Tiered process 

 
 

What are we going to do about it?

*Develop PD schedule to present the MTSS systems and procedures
*MTSS PD sessions on going throughout school year
*Teachers receive training on disrict and school based assessments and interventions 
*RtI coaches provide assistance

*Identify all new teachers to provide training on MTSS system
*Analyze data and identify support/traning that is needed
*Develop PD schedule
*Hold MTSS leadership meetings to review RtI data 
 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

*Teacher provided data during MTSS meetings 
*Graphed and compared data 
*Team feedback during MTSS meetings 
*RtI goals are appropriate and able to be measured
*Appropriate researched based interventions selected for student deficit
*Administartion monitoring best practices in classrooms

Why is it occuring?

*Teachers are not using researched based interventions
*Teachers are not comparing student data to same aged peers/classmates 
*No coaching plan to monitor source choice and collection 
*Inconsistent implementation of intervention 
*Gaps in data presentation 

What are we going to do about it?

*Set timelines for data collection
*Teachers work with case manager to address concerns with data collection in timely manner 
*Present teachers with checklist for data collection
*Provide teachers with data collection tools 
*Provide clear expectations for the RtI process through trainings and the MTSS binder

*Anaylze data from checklist submitted to identify and adherence to expectations 
*Assign RtI coaches to teachers
*Timeline check-in for data collected
*Provide training for teachers for transitions with Tiers
*Assessment of data at half way mark of RtI goal
