What elements will be addressed?

Staff are provided data on MTSS fidelity and student outcomes

Why is it occuring?

Many teacehrs are unware of the MTSS process and the benefits of the process. As a result, they are hesitant to document strategies in Basis and subsequently write Rtl referrals in Basis.

What are we going to do about it?

  • Increase staff comfort level in using Basis
  • More consistent Rtl interventions and bi-weekly Rtl team meetings
  • Social-emotional learning professional development strategies 

Action Plan

  • Biweekly technology trainings with all staff members
  • Rtl interventions and biweekly Rtl Team meetings
  • Implement LEAPS lessons in 2nd period classes as well as in Internal Suspension 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

  • Track the number of discipline referrals to determine if social-emotional education/LEAPS lessons are having an effect on students' behavior
  • Monitor the number of Rtl strategies documented by teacehrs to have a better understanding of where teacher understanding lies
  • Document number of TIER 2 and 3 referrals that muct be implemented as a result of the Rtl process

Why is it occuring?

Teacher are not as technologically saavy as they would like to be, and as a result, they are hesitant to document interventions by following the proper TIER process.
