What elements will be addressed?

Tier 3 behavior practices are based on students' needs, aligned with Tier 1 and Tier 2

Why is it occuring?

MTSS procedures and guidelines are implemented and shared with teachers. When the MTSS Team has the initial meeting the team identfies strategies or skills the student is having academic deficit. The team recommends Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions , however as a school we would like to effectively monitor the small group instruction in order to monitor the student progress.

What are we going to do about it?

School MTSS Team will conduct classroom walkthroughs to ensure that small group interventions are completed with fidelity as outlined in BASIS.

Action Plan

  • MTSS Team will reveiw the 4-Step Problem Solving traing to each grade level.
  • MTSS Team will will conduct weekly walthroughs beginning October 1, 2018 to monitor the intervention based on the recommednations from the MTSS Meeting.
  • Teachers will complete Tiered plans during their scheduled RTI Meeting.
  • Case Mangers will provide additional support to teachers if needed.
  • Assessments/data sources will be outlined specifically for the Tier 2 interventions.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Non-Evaluative classroom walkthroughs will conducted throughout the school year to ensure that the instruction and intervention plans are being implemented with fidelity.
Graphs will be  uploaded to BASIS and used to monitor assessment scores tied to the data sources outlined.

Staff understand and have access to data sources

Why is it occuring?

At the beginning of the year all retained students will be addressed through the RTI Process. In addtion, teachers will use baseline data to determine what any additional students working below grade level or have behavioral concerns. However, the staff does not consistently monitor the progerss of the students to identify if the interventions are effective .

What are we going to do about it?

The MTSS Team will identift assessmetns acorss the academic, behavioral and social-emotional aras used to identify at risk students, define the problem, monitor the progress and plan for intervention, and determine their next steps based on the progress monitoring tool.

Action Plan

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Teachers will be required to discuss assessment data monthly to ensure that students are idenified . The MTSS Team will monitor the the fiedilty of the programs and make the necessary adjustments based on the progress of monitioring tool that correlate with the intervention program being utlizied.
