What elements will be addressed?

The leadership team facilitates PD on data-based problem-solving

Why is it occuring?

The capacity for case managers to assist teachers with MTSS has not been built to a level that would result in optimizing this element.  The leadership team will facilitate PDs based on school collaborative data conversations pertaining to Data Based Problem Solving (DBPS)

What are we going to do about it?

Leadership team will meet monthly to discuss and analyze data with teachers, meet with leadership team monthly to discuss student/teacher needs in relation to DBPS.  Teachers will use BAS assessent data  as well as I-ready diagnostics to determine areas of weakness in reading when working with the CPST to implement tiered interventions so students are receiving more targeted strategies.  Once the areas of weakness are determine teacher will utilize the Literacy Continum to plan intervention lessons  to meet those student needs.

Action Plan

Presume positive intent while implementing the DBPS.

  • Preplanning-Introducition of the PBIS and the RTI process to staff.
  • Case managers (coaches) trained in their role in assisting teachers in using BASIS and the implementation of RTI.
  • Grade level hands on RTI/BASIS training  with coaching supporting for teachers during PLC's to provide tiered interventions  for students in need of remediation.
  • Case managers (coaches) recieve notification of BASiS/MTSS webinars

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Success will be monitored and measured thought reviewing the RTI progress, and fmonitoring graphs in BASIS in order to insure that all pending CPS referrals are addressed and students getting Tiered interventions are followed up with frequent progress monitoring through the support of our coaches. The DBPS team will monitor i-ready and BAS data.
