Staff have consensus and engage in MTSS Implementation

Why is it occuring?

Teachers have been providing imput for RTI and the CPS team meets weekly; however, we will ensure that the interventions and strategies put in place include more broad collaboration across faculty and staff. The goal is to achieve increased positive outcomes for students through MTSS by utilizing the expertise of faculty and staff from multiple departments. 

What are we going to do about it?

In order to improve in this area, we are going to monitor attendence of all participants at our Thursday grade level RtI meetings.  Additionally, participants will be expected to share documentation of interventions both graphically and through BASIS for students whom are involved in the RtI process.

Action Plan

1.  Teachers meet by grade levels on Thursdays from 2:00 - 2:45 montly to disucss students on RtI.
2.  School Couseling and administration provides strategies and resources to assist with the RtI process.
3.  Fruits of this endeavor are shared during the school's Wednesday RtI meetings.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Success will be measured by the increase in number of documented interventions by teachers per student as well as our successin moving students through the RtI process.

Student progress specific to academic or behavior goals are monitored

Why is it occuring?

Data needs to be monitored to see if a student's behavioral or acedemic outcome is changing based on RtI implementation.

What are we going to do about it?

Continue to increase collaboration and information sharing between RtI meetings (Wednesdays) and follow-up grade level / team meeings (Thursdays).  Additionally, teachers will be provided with opportunities to share best practices during these meetings so all can benifit from their success.
