What elements will be addressed?

Staff are provided data on MTSS fidelity and student outcomes

Why is it occuring?

Time on the professional development calendar has not been designated in the past to providing data on MTSS fidelity and student outcomes because we were focused on training teachers how to use the RTI process, how to create referrals and document interventions. 

What are we going to do about it?

During professional development time on Professional Study Days and Early Release days, we will provide faculty with MTSS data implementation and fidelity. We will also communicate results of RTI for specific students with their teachers via e-mail and face to face meetings. 

Action Plan

During professional development time on Professional Study Days and Early Release days, we will provide faculty with MTSS implentation data. We will also communicate results of RTI for specific students with their teachers via e-mail and face to face meetings. 

End of year teacher survey will be created and administered to gauge what teachers know about our school's MTSS implementation and student results. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

PD agendas will show that we are presenting MTSS implementation data to the faculty. 

End of year teacher survey results should show that teachers understand how MTSS is implemented at our school, and that they know the results of the RTI process for students.

Effective data tools are used appropriately and independently by staff

Why is it occuring?

All staff have not been trained in specific data tools and graphing of student data, therefore our staff struggle with this part of the RTI process. 

What are we going to do about it?

We will train the staff in using the data tools. 

Action Plan

During professional development time on Professional Study Days and Early Release days we will ensure that the faculty is trained in using specific data collection tools such as a frequency chart, and that they know how to graph student behavior and academic data. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Teachers will complete the training, and meeting agendas and sign-in sheets will be in evidence. 
Teachers will complete the data tools and graphing independently and in a more timely manner than they do currently.
