School Name Deerfield Park ES (0391) School Year 2018 - 2019 Tier 1 academic practices clearly identify learning standards Teachers are aware of grade level learning standards, however, they needed assistance with identifying ways to support kids at the Tier I level (Core Curriculum) when experiencing difficulty. Teachers will be trained on Tier I supplemental suppports and strategies that may be used to advance student's academic success with Core Curriculum and grade level standards. 1. Researched Tier I supplemental supports and strategies Teachers are required to document into BASIS three Tier I supplemental supports and strategies prior to referring a student to the CPS Team. Administration and Instructional Coaches 2019-04-12 Available resources are allocated effectively Teachers were not familiar with evidence-based resources needed to address student's areas of deficiency. Instructional coaches created a reference sheet that details interventions available to classroom teachers that supports specific areas of concern such as, Phonics, Vocabulary, etc. 1. Instructional coaches took an inventory of materials and resources available in the building. Teachers are being monitored through classroom walkthroughs, RtI meetings, and data chats.
