What elements will be addressed?

The leadership team actively engages in ongoing professional development

Why is it occuring?

The leadership team created and conducted a needs assessment to gather information on beliefs, knowledge, and skills in order to develop a professional development plan.






 

What are we going to do about it?

 A professional development plan was created based on the needs assessment and used to engage staff in ongoing professional development and coaching throughout the year.
 

Action Plan

  • We will meet with the leadership team to review data on BASIS and identify barriers that prevent our teachers from documenting and implementing Tier 1 Supplemental Strategies.
  • We will train teachers on how to document Tier 1 Supplemental Strategies in BASIS
  • The leadership team will establish a step by step plan (flow chart) for the Implementation of MTSS with fidelity
  • Leadership will monitor the implementation of strategy engaged in professional development
  • Leadership will engage in ongoing continuous improvement based upon gathered data. 

How will we monitor and measure our success?

  • Pre and Post-test
  • The survey from professional development
  • Feedback from professional learning communities
  • Quarterly action plan revision based on the data received

Leadership needs to disseminate information into the professional learning communities that are data-driven.

What are we going to do about it?

The leadership team will communicate and collaborate with all professional learning community facilitators.

  • Teams will meet on a bi-weekly basis
  • Teams will communicate in professional learning communities
  • Teams will collaborate on disaggregating  current data

How will we monitor and measure our success?

  • Monitor through professional learning communities agenda and minutes
  • Monitor through pre and post surveys

Why is it occuring?

The staff has been trained with an action plan established to use and evaluate with fidelity and measuring the impact on staff and students.

What are we going to do about it?

We will continue to have professional development for the staff targeting the monitoring of data with consistency and fidelity.

  • Quarterly meetings will  be held to discuss, revise, and address needs that arise
