What elements will be addressed?
Why is it occuring?

  • Collaborative teacher discussions and planning are evident.
  • At identified grade levels, we believe there is a need to be more targeted with instruction and to provide instruction at a more rigorous level.

What are we going to do about it?

  • We will articulate school and grade level expectations to the targeted grade
  • levels, and specific teachers.
  • We will seek internal and District expertise to assist with professional
  • development in these particular areas.
  • Survey teachers to uncover social-emotional concerns that may be negatively
  • impacting academic gains.
  • Plan interventions to meet the identified needs.
  • Targeted data tracking will be implemented.

Action Plan

The administration will conference with the targeted grade levels and teachers to discuss expectations.

  • Professional Development will be provided to address MTSS Tier 1 and 2 processes.
  • Link academics to social-emotional content/instruction.
  • Class and small group interventions with School Counselor
  • Professional Development will be provided to address Depth of Knowledge (DOK) and appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Administration and Academic Coaches will monitor implementation, and provide feedback.
  • Administration and Academic Coaches will analyze data points and use the continuous improvement model to revise initiatives as needed.

How will we monitor and measure our success?

  • Administration and the Leadership Team will monitor evidence gathered in iReady Diagnostics and BAS results.
  • Targeted grade levels will be expected to maintain a high level of competency (70%) or increase competency by 10% each administration of iReady Diagnostics.
  • BAS levels will maintain grade-level proficiency pacing or increase by at least one letter metric each application.
