What elements will be addressed?

Student progress specific to academic or behavior goals are monitored

Why is it occuring?

Teachers are currently proficient at collecting data, but struggle to utilize data to further differentiate instruction to enhance student learning. Our lowest quartile learners in 3rd through 5th grade underperformed, partly due to the poor utilization of our RTI data.

What are we going to do about it?

We are going to create an action plan to address this concern.  Please see next the box.

Action Plan

We have adjusted our data collection systems and protocols to better monitor our student growth and meet the needs of our students in the following ways:

1) For each intervention, we have created a weekly data checkpoint.
2) We have created data excel sheets on our SharePoint for teachers to enter their weekly RTI data
3) We have created two layers of monitoring to ensure student success
          a) Our ELA coaches will review each RTI chart monthly to ensure teachers are entering data
          b) ELA coaches will also review student data for trends to monitor for student growth and/or stagnant performance
          c) We will calibrate with each grade level at the end of each quarter to realign resources, student groups, and tiered instruction to ensure we continue to be meet our student needs.
4) ELA Coaches will also walk our intervention blocks to ensure RTI interventions are being implemented with fidelity.

How will we monitor and measure our success?
