Teachers take daily attendance in Pinnacle. The Information Management Technician monitors daily tardies and enters the minutes into Pinnacle. Parentlink automatically calls parents daily to report unexcused absences. If a student is absent more than 2 days per month the teacher contacts the parent and documents the conversation on a parent teacher conference form. The attendance line is easily accessible on the school website and in the student handbook provided to every parent. Teachers stress the importance of regular attendance at Open House and parent teacher conferences. The teachers will praise/reward students monthly who improve their pattern of attendance and those who arrive to school on time and regularly. Administrators and teacher work together to resolve conflicts in attendance records as a result of testing, field trips, illnesses, and other causes of student absences.
