Lack of resources and time built into schedule to implement continuous professional development 

What are we going to do about it?

Seek school-based and district personnel and resources to train faculty/staff on data-based problem solving strategies, data collection and analysis
 
Track and monitor staff implementation 

Action Plan

Quarterly on-going professional development trainings 

Monitor teacher implementation through monthly data collection of student academic performance and behavioral interventions results

Determine trends established and provide resources/ support of identified needs

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Review of data collected and trends established
 
Create/modify action plan to address needs and areas of growth opportunities
 
Receive feedback from faculty/staff on professional development and incorporate needs assessment into future planning of trainings

What elements will be addressed?

Tier 1 academic practices clearly identify learning standards

Tier 1 behavior practices identify school-wide expectations

Tier 2 academic practices include common student needs, are linked to Tier 1

Tier 2 behavior practices include common student needs, are linked to Tier 1

Tier 3 academic practices are based on students' needs, aligned with Tier 1 and Tier 2

Tier 3 behavior practices are based on students' needs, aligned with Tier 1 and Tier 2

Why is it occuring?

Faculty are not effectively familiarizing themselves with individual accommodations and modifications
 
Faculty cannot discern between Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention strategies.
 
RtI/CPST referrals and Teacher Strategy Interventions are incomplete or lack specificity to identify student progress 

What are we going to do about it?

Seek out school-based and district personnel for training on instructional practices and Tier intervention strategies

Action Plan

Administer faculty survey to determine current level of implementation on Tier strategies and how it is implemented.

Based on survey results, provide quarterly professional development trainings on Tier instruction and strategies
 
Monitor teacher implementation of Tier strategies in bimonthly RtI/CPST meeting

How will we monitor and measure our success?

Classroom walkthroughs and Professional Learning Communities
 
Review student progress while receiving Tier intervention strategies and then update on BASIS
 
Collaborate with RtI/CPST team bimonthly on student progress and modify intervention if needed
